As our fall election season approaches, we want to explore what voters think of our election system and discuss the evolution of women’s political leadership at the state and federal levels.

In the first segment of this Civic Cocktail, our expert panel will discuss fresh survey results of voters from red and blue counties in Washington State about their perceptions and concerns about election integrity and voting rights. We’ll discuss whether people believe our system is free and fair and protected from threats and how we might prepare for contested elections.

In the second segment, we will discuss the legacy, challenges, and prospects of candidates who are women of color at the state and federal level in Washington and the influence of Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign on both red and blue candidates.
