Election season brings no shortage of headlines, opinions and information—but understanding what it all means for our communities can be another matter. This fall, Seattle CityClub’s Season of Civics brings Seattleites closer to the people, issues and decisions shaping our region through a multi-month series of civic conversations, election resources and events. Beginning with Civic Cocktail on September 16, the season continues with free election events and debates in October, Civic Cocktail programs in November and December, and Civics 101, Seattle CityClub’s digital resource for making Washington civics easier to understand.
For more than 40 years, Seattle CityClub has created nonpartisan spaces where residents can hear diverse perspectives, engage with civic leaders and better understand the forces shaping life in the Puget Sound region. At a time when staying informed can feel increasingly complicated, Season of Civics is about making civic participation more accessible, relevant and connected to everyday life.
A $100 Season of Civics Pass (which can be purchased via the Sept Civic Cocktail Eventbrite page) includes admission for one guest to Civic Cocktail in September, November and December, access to Civics 101, and the opportunity to be among the first to receive details about free election events in October. Purchase your pass and make this fall more than an election season—make it a Season of Civics.
