From polarizing supreme court rulings and healthcare to student loan forgiveness and an uncertain economy, the civic landscape of our country seems destined for unsettling times. So, what actions can we–at the state and local level–take to ensure a fair and balanced democratic process?

Join Seattle CityClub at Re-Engage, a civic networking fundraiser that tackles these and other important topics related to our democracy this summer. The first of three Re-Engage events will occur on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. Guests can engage in fascinating conversations, gain valuable insight from local experts, and connect with fellow civic enthusiasts. The first Re-Engage program will feature a keynote speech from travel guru Rick Steves.

Seattle CityClub is thrilled to launch the Summer of (Civic) Love fundraising campaign to support our mission to provide civic access for all in the Pacific Northwest. Re-Engage is a contemporary version of the 42-year-old organization’s prominent and long-running Engage program that is more accessible and interpersonal for greater engagement. Please consider supporting our important civic work with a financial contribution that will make opportunities such as Re-Engage, political debates, and Civic Cocktail available for years to come.
