Event Cancellation & Refund Policy

Seattle CityClub prides itself on convening diverse groups to participate in excellent live and virtual programs. In the event Seattle CityClub is unable to host an event as planned, however, we want to ensure our ticketholders are fully informed of our policies regarding rescheduling, relocating, or canceling events.

Cancellations / Rescheduling / Relocating

In the event (i) Seattle CityClub is prohibited from conducting a planned event, (ii) any of Seattle CityClub’s essential partners for a planned event are unable to participate, or (iii) Seattle CityClub otherwise determines, in its sole discretion, that it would be unwise or contrary to public health to proceed with a planned event, Seattle CityClub will make commercially reasonable efforts to reschedule or relocate the event, rather than cancel it. Seattle CityClub’s ability to reschedule an event, however, is dependent on circumstances outside its control, such as the refundable nature of third-party deposits and the availability of speakers and other participants.

Refunds

A ticketholder who is, for any reason, unable to a Seattle CityClub event may receive a refund if they contact the Seattle CityClub office at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled start of such event. The refund will be for an amount equal to the full ticket price less any costs borne by Seattle CityClub in processing the refund.

If Seattle CityClub reschedules or relocates an event, a ticketholder will be entitled to use his or her ticket for admission to the rescheduled or relocated event without additional charge.

If Seattle CityClub cancels an event, or if Seattle CityClub reschedules or relocates an event and a ticketholder is no longer available to attend, we ask that he or she convert the cost of the ticket into a tax-deductible, charitable contribution to Seattle CityClub. If a ticketholder elects not to make such a donation, he or she must contact the Seattle CityClub office within thirty (30) days after the date of the cancelled event and request a refund. Any ticketholder that contacts the Seattle CityClub office within such time period will be entitled to a refund in an amount equal to the full ticket price less any costs borne by Seattle CityClub in processing the refund. Any ticketholder with tickets to a rescheduled, relocated or cancelled event that does not contact the Seattle CityClub office within thirty (30) days after the date of the event will not be entitled to any refund, and the purchase price of his or her tickets will be converted into a tax-deductible, charitable contribution to Seattle CityClub.
