Seattle, WA, August 24, 2017 – Seattle CityClub and KIRO 7 will present a luncheon debate between Washington 45th legislative district candidates Manka Dhingra and Jinyoung Lee Englund on October 10, 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (doors open at 11:30 a.m.) at Microsoft Conference Center in Redmond. The debate will be livestreamed by KIRO 7.
Manka Dhingra and Jinyoung Lee Englund are the final candidates in an election race that will determine the balance of power in Washington State’s Senate after finishing first and second in King County’s August 1 primary.
“The 45th had the highest legislative district voter turnout in this year’s primary, and we are excited to partner with KIRO 7 to ensure voters get the opportunity to hear from the candidates before November’s election,” said Diane Douglas, Executive Director at Seattle CityClub.
Residents in Washington’s 45th legislative district, which includes Kirkland, Duvall, Woodinville and Sammamish, are encouraged to submit questions that may be asked by the moderators during the debate via Seattle CityClub’s question form.
The 45th District State Senate Luncheon Debate is sponsored by The Boeing Company and Microsoft.
Free tickets are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis to those who register at seattlecityclub.org/calendar/
