What We Built Together in 2025

Dear Friends of Seattle CityClub,

As we close out the year, we want to pause and say thank you. Because of your curiosity, participation, and support, Seattle CityClub continues to be a trusted place where people come together to understand the issues shaping our region—and to give access to our leaders through open, informed dialogue.

In 2025, we brought the community together around some of the most important conversations facing the Pacific Northwest. Through our Civic Cocktail series, we explored topics ranging from public safety and housing affordability to clean energy innovation, Indigenous leadership, and the real-world impacts of rising costs of living. We convened experts, policymakers, and community leaders not just to talk—but to share practical insights and solutions that people could take back into their own lives and neighborhoods.

At September’s Civic Cocktail, regional luminaries discuss the future of clean energy at “Power Shift: Energy Innovation in Seattle.”

We also upheld our commitment to transparency and accountability through our public debates, providing free and accessible forums for voters to hear directly from candidates for Seattle Mayor and King County Executive. These debates—viewed both in person and online—helped thousands of residents make informed decisions ahead of the election, reinforcing the idea that democracy works best when information is shared openly and without barriers.

And as always, Legislative Preview continued its long-standing tradition of offering a clear, nonpartisan look at what’s ahead in Olympia, connecting Washingtonians directly with legislative leadership and trusted journalists to unpack the policies that affect us all.

None of this happens without you. Your engagement—whether attending events, watching program recordings, sharing our work, or contributing financially—sustains Seattle CityClub’s mission to gather, educate, and equip civic-minded citizens across our region.

A guest at the Seattle Mayoral Debate, hosted by Seattle CityClub and Formidable, asks the candidates a question.

As we look toward the year ahead, we invite you to make a year-end gift to Seattle CityClub. Your donation supports our ongoing work to create civic awareness, foster meaningful dialogue, and ensure that elected officials remain available to the people they serve. Together, we can continue building a stronger, more informed civic culture in the greater Seattle region.

With gratitude and optimism for what’s next,

The Board of Directors
